TB wants to focus on acquiring large customer bases & top quality software, consolidating them into a single security stack and hopefully a single ops/support/sales teams, under the McAfee name I assume.
They believe they can acquire the most value from that.
I believe TPG is looking to divest control of McAfee, which they made more valuable, in favor of something sleeker. $SFOR has 13 employees last I checked, and I'm guessing TPG needs none of them. The tech is already implemented in their software providers of choice.
And obviously, Cisco buys Duo and sees this as a minor licensing setback to it's own future control of the industry.
It's so amazing to see how each company is reacting differently to the circumstances, how they each are using Billions of dollars for future cyber profits!
