Only 15 minutes for argument presentation -each side... Don’t worry SA, it will be over before you know it!! However, I Cannot say it will be painless...... Time to pay up $$$$$
IMO I have to say going to oral arguments gives SFOR a more definitive answer. This not only speeds up the remaining settlement offers but puts the rest of the ‘cyber security’ community on notice!!! We WILL be coming after you if you are infringing.
If this was just settled before a true court decision it would of course put money in our coffers for now, but only push the patent validity decision from the Federal Court to the future until somebody challenged it again. This in and of itself would push any merger, buyout, or acquisition to be a low-ball effort than what Ram’s/SFOR PATENTS are truly worth.
My confidence level?? High
After all doesn’t everyone know that Ropes and Grey are undefeated?
