The only component QMC makes is the quantum dots. I don't know exactly how it's done but they can make small QDSC squares and test them.
QDSC was the original goal in 2008 as Solterra. Its always been feasible and the company did solar plant proposals years ago that Andy Robinson worked as QMC Middle East representative. QDSC made by R2R can be profitable at a much lower efficiency than silicon.
Dr Ghassan Jabbour is a QMC co-founder. I have met him, heard him speak at conferences, and read his papers. He has an amazing career. He founded KAUST's renewable energy center, the size of three football fields. Presently he has a Canadian Research Chair, a high honor that gives him lots of budget resources to do his work. Squires and Jabbour share the same goals. I have no doubt they are ready to get started.
