Several years ago a research spent over a year interviewing and researching the career of 20 or so successful entrepreneurs from very diverse fields. He planned to identify what skills or approaches they had in common. In the end he concluded they shared no traits -- none of the traits he had set out to look for -- except for one thing he hadn't been paying attention to. They had all failed at their first several attempts but had kept trying til they finally succeeded.
Many of us have had a lot of investment failures trying to find our 'lottery stock'. The next two or three years will let us know if we have at last succeeded, or else we will need to try, try again.
