There are four rumors at this site. Here they are in order from oldest to newest:
They are increasingly specific.
The first is just that IPIX is going to announce buyout discussions. Ok, maybe that's plausible.
The second says Pfizer readies an offer. I think we all think Pfizer is on the short list for contenders on the term sheet. Again, plausible.
The third kind of came out of left field. We never heard much about Merck. It is a global pharma though. Guidance and positioning here....ok fine...still plausible.
The fourth is now stating a tender offer from Pfizer has been accepted. Now we're either getting the tip of the century or someone is committing some serious securities fraud. There is no opinion here...either we have been bought by Pfizer or this website is getting a call from the SEC.
All that said, I hope this rumor site is right and our journey to riches comes to a close very shortly.
