I don't think the word "update" refers to the meeting date.In my 6 years with this company I have yet to see a PR
updating us that they are meeting as in "Yup we're going to thuh meetin now".
Updating implies that there is news worthy of making people aware of.The meeting date is not newsworthy but the
outcome is.
If the meeting has already taken place and here it is Friday,with no "Bad news PR",then I take that as a plus
and that the words "Very Shortly" implies that we should hear something within a few days to a week,IMO.
Now the only way I see a partnership announcement with this update is IF a representative of the BP suitor attended
the meeting also.That also assumes that the deal arrangements have already been ironed out,pending this meeting.
If the above has not occurred then a PR of a positive outcome could likely ignite a bidding war.
Either case is a WIN as far as I am concerned.
If the meeting has NOT taken place yet,then I don't see the need for Leo to use the words "Very soon"either.
