From Pg.9
"Some particularly interesting technologies include Perovskite cells, Quantum Dot Solar cells, and Carbon Nanotube solar cells. Perovskite cells may be promising as they can be mounted to walls and windows, as they do not require direct sunlight. Efficiencies soared from 4% to nearly 20% in just 5 years. This is the fastest advancing PV technology to date. They are cheap to make, even when compared with c-Si. The catch? They degrade quickly, especially in humid environments. Quantum Dot solar cells are interesting because they have a high theoretical efficiency (the maximum efficiency that could be reached), of over 45%. They are not commercially viable as they are only 9% efficient currently. Carbon nanotubes face similar problems."
