Rory never said they were, but other then the names in the S-1/A, we don't know all the companies they are talking to. The Netflix thing to me seems like something Netflix did themselves.
I use Tivo and have a button to skip commercials in recorded TV shows. While nothing prompts me to do it, it does seem like a similar principle. Netflix can embed markers in the movie to show where scene begin and end and then pop up a message asking if you want to rewatch. I personally would find that distracting (the message), but that's why they are testing it.
I would prefer, that would just be a button on the remote. I think a lot of people would just use the back button to rewatch. Now if they were watching something live and didn't have a DVR type device, then being able to go back and rewatch a sports play is a great benefit. I do that all the time and use slo-mo too.
There is a MLB nFusz video out there so you never know what can happen.
