Uuuh..no. I both did my parochial HS homework....had biceps just from carrying the books home...and got to stay up to watch either Steve Allen or Johnny Carson.
Most of my friends and I preferred Allen well before we figured out that his views were liberal, and even more after we did figure it out.
All that homework gave us a head start on appreciating nuance, irony, wit, literary, critical thinking skills.logic and evidence.
The funniest people, the funniest entertainment, all contain more of those qualities than not.
As an adult I preferred M*A*S*H and Mary Tyler Moore over Three's Company and Charlie's Angels.
A real education ruins you for the latter, equips you to know that the former are better written, and much funnier.
You missed a lot of good shit over 30 years, especially the police procedurals which would have equipped you with more of an understanding of facts, evidence and plea deals than you clearly have
Seriously, and understanding of those is what REALLY separates us.
That and science VS supposition.
