Yes. They may very well have had some other reason

Once U.S. law makers and regulators get their acts together concerning CBD as a health supplement, then some very big doors will open right here in the states. By the time that happens, we're going to be beautifully positioned to supply domestic demand, brick and mortar included, with top shelf CBD infused supplements, foods, and beverages, and the demand will be HUGE!
The World Health Organization has already determined that CBD is safe for human ingestion.
Full U.S. regulatory approval will happen eventually. Hell, they allow zinc to be sold on all store shelves as a heath aid. Indeed, it's good for you in relatively low doses, but if you think more would be even better, guess again. You can easily find yourself in the hospital following an overzealous zinc ingestion. On the other hand, many supplements are not dangerous in that way.
I'll bet I could eat all 30 CBD capsules from the new bottle in my cupboard and only feel better. It may be best to do so with food, since a large dose of just about any oil on an empty stomach might provide you with an undesired digestive "cleansing"! lol
Still, no harmful side effects that we know of, only benefits, though I certainly don't know at what point you're consuming more than your body can put to full use before it's passed through your system.
I'm sure there's an optimal dose on the high end of the scale, depending on your body mass and what ails you, that will eventually be determined if it hasn't already, but I personally haven't seen anything definitive yet on the pros/cons of very high doses except that no harmful side effects were observed. $$RMHB$$
