NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2018
NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In an important development, VNUE, Inc. today announced that the company has appointed financial and music industry heavyweight Jock Weaver to a Special Advisory role to Zach Bair, VNUE's CEO and Chairman.
Mr. Weaver previously served as president of Hard Rock Café International, an English publicly traded company that had operations in London, New York, Dallas, Stockholm, Tokyo, Reykjavick, Cancun, Boston, and Washington D.C., and whose securities traded on both the London Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange. In fact, Mr. Weaver was the youngest person in history to list a company on both exchanges.
Mr. Weaver also founded Nashivlle-based TBA Entertainment Corporation, at the time one of the nation's largest live entertainment companies, which eventually sold to a group controlled by artist manager and former Ticketmaster CEO, Irving Azoff. TBA operated large amphitheaters across the country, produced over 1000 events yearly, and specialized in entertainment marketing, artist management and event merchandising.
Weaver currently serves as Chairman of Heritage Trust Company.
"I am incredibly excited that Jock is joining our team," said Bair. "His strong background in international finance, coupled with his deep industry relationships and knowledge, will add a critical component as we continue to push VNUE into the next phase. He is the perfect addition to round out our stellar executive team."
Mr. Weaver said, "I am very excited to be working with VNUE and Zach Bair. Heritage Trust likes to be involved in companies where we not only may participate in equity ownership, but also where my own industry knowledge and experience can accelerate the organization's growth and development. Zach and VNUE fit this profile. They are a first in class in the Live Recording Sector, and own very valuable Music Recognition Technology in the Royalty Rights Sector."
Weaver has over 35 years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, and development of growth companies on an international basis – something that Bair feels is crucial for VNUE's goals. He has been involved in over 50 merger and/or acquisition transactions with values exceeding $300 million.
"With Jock's Hard Rock International and significant live event experience in general, coupled with his expertise in finance, public markets, fundraising, and M&A, we believe that bringing him on board will accelerate our ability to grow at a faster pace and attract the type of financing to support that growth," said Bair.
At VNUE, Weaver will be working with Bair and his fellow board members Lou Mann and Tony Cardenas to shape the company's financial and growth strategy, as well as assisting with deal acquisition as it pertains to both VNUE's live recording business, and its deployment of Soundstr (soundstr.com) Music Recognition Technology.
