Newbies, 2 yrs ago I wrote then USCG Commander Admiral Zukunft about the SFOR shield. His head of USCG IT wrote me to say our IP was being evaluated by USCG Cyber. They of course attend DISA meetings for input & info. It was DISA that selected our KTLS as the only defensive software used in the "try before buy" DOD Contractor exercise. USCG is under DHS oversight. This is how DHS is in the loop about SFOR IP. Also, to establish a second line of communication I briefed the Commander & his second of my area's UUSCG station who forwarded the info to the Captain in chage of Region One. I believe iin redundancy (the HQ/USCG Washington response got my foot in the door there).
