Good idea. I don't think that will happen on Craig

CL was designed to be low cost (for the company) and low bandwidth usage. It can even work on a dialup modem and speeds that slow do exist around the world. The site is heavy text based with the ability to turn images on or off. Count the number of images on the home page. Yes there is one or less depending on which pages you go to for that reason. CL interface doesn't even provide the ability to add a clickable link and most people don't know the HTML code to do it manually.
CL only makes money in a few areas like job postings. If they wanted to add ads, they could pull in a lot of bucks to support more bandwidth, servers, etc. that would be needed to drive a richer user experience, but maybe that is the thing that sets them apart from everyone else.
The other challenge is CL attracts a lot of people that don't want to pay anything to sell something. How many people would pay if it was even possible. People post there as it's free and eBay can get expensive.
Now facebook marketplace would be ideal for this or nFusz could come up with nFusz Market Place.
