To add the Perfect Picture as an addition to my post.
Most of us longs have seen the pictures on the Bo for Mayor of NYC Website.
As George stated you walk in to Bo's Office and the walls are lined with Famous People, including Pictures of Bo in the Oval Office with 5 Presidents.
Bo was one tough cop. He was shot 7 times, and as President Reagan said, he's the closest thing to a real Life Dirty Harry.
As I mentioned George never stopped talking, unless Interuped by a Question.
I would have liked to use my Phone to voice record, but felt he may not have opened up as much if I had.
I'm sure those that were in attendance all have their favorite Quotes and I hope they will share with the board.
I missed about an hour of listening to George, while Talking with Ram, out of site in the Buffet Area around the corner while we munched on Pizza and small hamburgers, veggies and dip.
Mark seemed to know the Bartender quite well, and filled some of us in on the history of the Sheraton and its background and how it was bought by Marriot.
And although the Sheraton was in fairly good Condition, and looked great, I can see where it needed the influx of Capital to keep it Looking Great and Upgrades.
My room door was in desperate need of the card reader needing Cleaning or Repair and although the Staff were on the ball, did not have maintenance come up and fix it. But said they would if I request it. Since only staying one night, I delt with taking at least a minute getting in the room everytime, even getting two new sets of cards. Nothing changed.
When checking out I did suggest they get it fixed, and also stated that I had never been in a motel or Hotel that did not have a Bar of Soap in the Room, to which they comped my breakfast bill $16. Off. Don't get me wrong the place looked great, Large Lobby was fine, with plenty of comfortable Chairs with Tables I found useful until my room was avaliable, as I arrived at 11am and the prior nights storm had the place packed. I was in a room by 1:30. There was a Starbucks in the Hotel also.
So anyone one going to next year's SHM, you know where to stay.
Biggest pet peeve, the Sheraton is no where close to a covenience store or gas station, and the place had no small store inside to purchase anything you might have forgotten to bring with you. But it's far above average for the price.and was very convenient since I assumed this would be the watering hole after the SHM as it was last year.
My worst complaint on the entire 24 hour trip was the Newark Airport. Especially when compared to Orlando International, trying to get to the Rental Cars was a pain if you had never been there before. They had people on the Air Train ramps that were quick to ask if you needed to know anything, they were also quick to turn to someone else before finishing what they were saying I'm not the only one that had this problem. I'm just use to Florida, where people will make sure you fully understand directions before turning and walking away. This goes for professionals who's job it is, or just the man or woman on the street full of useful tips & information and willing to share.
Well probably a little to much off topic there. So let me shut up.
