Solution: BP pays a nice up front sum for the entire pipeline of $5-10B and pays IPIX a rising royalty fee as a product's revenue increases. I feel this is justified with the results of our clinical trials to date. Thus, all shareholders would be happy with their returns immediately as they make a great return and yet with the rising royalty fee they still have a chance at the MONSTER returns many have been expecting should pipeline be maximized..
The above pretty much maximizes shareholder value IF our products are as good and as commercially profitable as we think and BP has minimized their risk to the upfront payment and only pay more once the products are bringing in the big bucks. To attain a pipeline of 3 possible massive winners, I feel a $5-10B upfront payment is not out of the question.
Just a WAG but something to think about.
