Conference organizers may not necessary use the term "late breaking news" when updating their agenda.
Conference we are talking about is rather small in size ( compare to other big and major events like annual World GI Congress or European Annual GI Conference , I presume so I expect most of the presentations are ether posters only or posters presentations (PP) and in this case PP has definitely more value and has more attendance
this is obviously IMO
