$PSGR Once upon a time there was a mountain that was said to be filled with GOLD. Each day the working masses would look towards the mountain and silently pray that they would benefit from the alleged riches in the mountain. Each day the owner of the mountain would look down upon the working masses and laugh at their naivete. The owner knew there was no mountain filled with GOLD. The owner had always been very careful and whenever he was queried about the GOLD in the mountain, he would always reply that there were, indeed, precious metals within the mountain. He noted that his loyal workers had many times confirmed the existence of precious metals within the mountain. A large portion of the work to confirm the quantity and quality of the precious metals had been conducted by his employees. He was confident that he knew what was really in the mountain. He allowed the working masses to perform small amounts of labor on or near the mountain for pitifully low wages. The working masses did not complain because the owner had filled their heads with suggestions/intimations/possibilities of future wealth.
After several long and fruitless years or anticipation, the working masses became vocal and began to question the existence of the GOLD. The owner, seeing that the leverage he held over the masses would soon abate, began to release notifications to the working masses. He told of very promising amounts of precious metals in areas throughout the mountain. The working masses were once again quickly pacified with this information and went back to their dreams of wealth beyond imagination.
After many more fruitless years of inactivity The children of the original working masses questioned why over two full decades would pass and there had not been any production and sale of the GOLD. Again the owner of the mountain would release notifications that soon, something might, could possibly happen, if they just remained patient. The owner once again promised the working masses that there were precious metals within the mountain. The now working mass children of the old working masses were complacent and acquiesced to the owner of the mountain.
The owner of the mountain understood that the idea...anticipation...of wealth IS the precious metals within the mountain. The mining of the precious metals does not require physical labor. The precious metals will be gratefully given by the working masses AND their children to the owner in return for an image created by the owner and believed by the masses.
The precious metals given by the masses can be Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Iridium or a dozen other metals. Not one gram of precious metal has to be mined from the mountain as it is willingly given by the working masses in exchange for a fantasy.
