Bank of America is using SFOR's COBAS.
I was on the road about 1 year ago and had made 2 purchases within 20 minutes. I was making a third purchase about 5 minutes later, picking up a catering order at an Italian deli. What happened next was AWSOME!
I handed my BofA credit card to the owner (mom and pop deli), within a few seconds of swiping the card I recieved a text as follows:
FREE TEXT from Bank of America: Message for XXXXXX XXXXX re: credit card #XXXX. To continue using your card please verify these three transactions: ARDITO - $282.49 (declined) - CIGMA GAS INC - $36.81 (Approved); STOP & SHOP - $21.23 (Approved). I f you attempted all 3 of these transactions, reply YES. If you do not recognize one or more of them reply NO. To opt out of text alerts reply STOP.
I then replied with a text: YES
BofA replied with a text: Your account security is our top priority. Thank YOu for verifying these transactions. You may use your Bank of Americacredir card immediately.
As the owner turned to me to tell me my card was declined. I turned to him to say my bank just sent me a text to verify I am here using my card. I told him to run the card again, and it went through.
I showed him the text and he couldnt believe how the bank declined my card, then verified it was actually me and then apprived my transaction, all in about 10 seconds!!!
