‘This Is a F***ed-up Cracker State.’ Disaster

Another Democrat has been exposed for running a campaign that holds contempt for the very people the nominee wants to vote for him.
An undercover video by the conservative activist group Project Veritas, released Wednesday, reveals the deception at play in Florida’s Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum’s campaign strategy.
A man identified by Project Veritas as Omar Smith, a campaign staffer for Gillum, was caught on tape making racist comments about Floridians, as well as bringing to light the empty promises and fraud Gillum has employed in his election campaign.
Smith, who claims to have gone to college with Gillum, outed Gillum as a progressive, despite Gillum’s campaign trying to paint him as a moderate.
Smith, who claims to have gone to college with Gillum, outed Gillum as a progressive, despite Gillum’s campaign trying to paint him as a moderate.
Smith defined progressives as “the crazy, crazy, crazy Democrats” and “borderline socialism” … before saying that Gillum was “a progressive” who is “a part of the crazy, crazy, crazies.”
Also on the video, a man identified as Christian Rodriguez, a field organizer for the Gillium campaign, said Gillum is “a progressive, through and through.”
When asked by a Project Veritas operative how Gillum gets people who aren’t progressives on board with electing him, Smith replied, “Keep repeating the same story until it makes sense to them.”
“You have your set target who will believe your story,” Smith continued. He clarified that Gillum wasn’t being a liar, he was just “politicking.”
He agreed that Gillum can’t let people know ahead of time (as in, before he’s elected) what his agenda is, because “then you alienate everybody.”
“So then none of the programs that people are hoping for would happen?” the Project Vertias operative asked Smith at one point.
“Basically,” Smith agreed. On whether voters knew this, he responded “that’s not for them to know.”
“Remember our saying, modern day fairy tales start with ‘once I am elected,'” he added.

Empty promises are a theme for the Gillum campaign, according to Smith.
“Let’s go back to Mr. Gillum’s platform, right?” Smith said. “Raise the corporate tax in Florida from 7 to 11 percent. That will never happen. Raise teacher’s pay to $50,000, that will never happen. Give me another position. Medicare for all, that will never happen.”
Smith also derided Floridians as “crackers,” and trashed Florida as “a f****ed up state.”
“Ask anybody outside of here,” Smith said. “You go Port St. Lucie, Orlando … man them crackers ain’t gonna let us do that s**t.”
“This is a f***ed up state,” said Smith. “It’s a cracker state.”

Racism seems to inform the bid for election, with Smith also stating in the undercover video that in order for the campaign to be successful, Gillum has to manipulate the “white guilt” of Floridians.
“You have to appeal to white guilt,” Smith told the Project Veritas operative.
A person off camera, identified as another Gillum campaign staffer, asked, “Why does it have to be white guilt? Why can’t it just be …”
But a woman identified as another campaign staffer interrupted and said, “Cause that’s what it is.”
“That’s what it is,” Smith agreed. “If you can’t have a real conversation about what it is, you’re going to be screwed.”
What makes the U.S so great is that the government is for the people.
But as earlier Project Vertitas videos have shown in states like Tennessee and Arizona, Democrats are using fraudulent tactics to get into office, insulting the people they want to represent, lying to them in order to pull a bait-and-switch once elected.
If you can’t muster up basic respect for the people of your state, don’t try to represent them.
