i wasnt too far from mt st helens when she blew- luckily i wasnt climbing it that day it was strange seeing the middle of the day turn to night due to atmospheric ash- and then when the ash actually fell to earth it got lighter bc the ash was whitish-the authorities told us the ash was good fertilizer-turned out to be weak fertilizer
