Saying that he 'helped' can reasonably be inferred as an acknowledgement that he was part of a team that shared in the accomplishment.
Reasonable for an educated person with a sense of decency, that is.
Also, the vast gulf in communication skills, as between you and reindeer, is readily apparent in both the quality of his thought and its expression in his posts VS yours.
Those are two measures of education, and it's also not unreasonable to infer that some skills, including interpersonal, were acquired as well.
Lastly, why would he be embarrassed? YOU'RE the one without a degree, without communication skills, without literacy.
