FACT: no one know who is selling, or shorting, this stock. People can make guesses about Aspire, or Aruda, or the MFO. The only stock that we know has been sold is some amount by Aspire, at some time in the past, so that they could stay below the 5% reporting requirement. We do not know WHEN that stock would have been sold, or at what price.
FACT: There is no evidence whatsoever that the MFO office is selling stock.
There is only speculation that some people think the MFO would like to make a few thousand bucks profit, instead of investing in other more lucrative vehicles, of which there are many. (for example, HTGC is currently paying about a 10% dividend and it's about as safe as any company can be, to continue paying at about that rate.) I find that speculation to be unlikely.
FACT: constant, multi-year bashing by identities that admit they do not own the stock, or who would have to be insane to continue bashing a stock if they indeed owned it, is evidence that some group(s) are trying to suppress stock price for their own gain. The Mako articles, and additional pressure by Adam Feuerstein, the awful "Dr. K" who writes on a subscription site, and others, claiming that the drugs don't work (untrue) are further evidence of a cabal arrayed against IPIX.
