Good Morning Mikeyt. Yes I agree, the Farm Bill is expected to have a major impact for these companies once it passes. The other thing I found is also very interesting because it reveals how HCI is structured and likely the way SATIVEO is structured as well. I found that HCI is located in Maine --- Livermore Falls to be exact --- and that this tiny village has five other hemp farms located there. Yet, not a single one of these other farms is labeled HCI. Instead, they are registered under the names of each individual family, and that makes it difficult to find the other locations. In the case of HCI it appears fairly obvious because all five other farms are located next door, but if others are located in different towns, how would we know? If SATIVEO uses this same structure, we would have no way of knowing how big they really are. Doctor Mitchell also told me he has a family member who has a realtor license, and he scouts for potential additional properties. This suggests that HCI is still growing.
If I understood Mitchell correctly, the 25 acre typical farm size is all he can grow because of regulations, and the Farm Bill he hopes will eliminate those regulations. Apparently, each 25 acre farm must work with a research group or organization. Otherwise, the DEA takes a hard look at them, and can cause additional problems.
