I absolutely agree with you. I just wanted to point out that Polymedix did had, at least, an inkling beyond ABSSSI about what they had in Brilacidin. And that is a sad story considering what happened next.
Totally different topic. That tingling you mentioned.
1. Have you noticed how 30 days recovery duration from that particular effect gets lobbied around. As far as I know THAT number is from mice studies with huge doses. What little I have seen from clinical studies using lower doses the recovery duration is few days.
2. In general I think worries about ion channel inhibition by Brilacidin are way overblown. I looked into it and what I could figure out looks like the channels inhibited are mostly if not all associated with pain sensation. That probably explains tingling sensation. And what's wrong with pain suppression if a patient is experiencing some. If I were in excruciating pain with ABSSSI I would gladly trade some pain to tingling. Actually, I would demand that trade.
