"Short order" doesn't mean immediately. If we make it to $14/share with $700M in the bank we're probably going higher fairly soon (P2B results, K phase 2b, B-AD phase 2, B-ABSSSI phase 3, P Phase 3, follow-on partnerships at very good terms, etc.) The point is with that amount of cash we can launch all the trials we want and negotiate future deals with very good leverage.
The 3x on the cash happens the week of the announcement - immediately. As time goes on and the phase 3's start firing up the market will begin to give us some pipeline credit. Right now we get none because there is no clarity as to how we can move forward until a deal is signed. The problem with IPIX is not the pipeline, it is the cash situation.
As for my number of shares, you're a bit high but you have the right number of digits.
As for my motives for participating in a discussion board? Numero Uno is for my entertainment. Number two is to glean the occasional good insight. There is nothing to change on my investment. It has lost most of it's value and I can take the tax loss any time I like. Walking away with $0.23/share is not significantly better than just writing the whole thing off. I'll take my chances on the deal at this point.
