Not Once......... President Barrack Obama was

Not Once.........

President Barrack Obama was accused of being a non-US citizen who had usurped the presidency under false pretenses.

He was accused of being a “secret Muslim”, feigning his adherence to Christianity in order to take power and institute Sharia law in America.

He was accused of being a “radicalized black man” who sought power in order to trigger a race war, and mobilize black Americans to rise up and destroy the white race.

He was repeatedly confronted with images of himself being lynched, and suffered the indignity of being dismissed as yet another “uppity nigger” who clearly didn’t know his place.

And through all of this, not once did President Obama accuse those who promoted this propaganda of being part of the opposing party’s conspiracy against him – the way Kavanaugh did. Not once did he respond in unbridled anger to those who questioned his honesty and integrity – the way Kavanaugh did. Not once did he call out the opposing party as unhinged revenge-seekers – the way Kavanaugh did.

Not once did Obama disrespect his Republican rivals by asking them if they could produce their birth certificate to validate their claim to US citizenship – the way Kavanaugh disrespected his Democratic questioners by asking about their drinking habits.

Not once did Obama try to thwart any investigation into his past, try to cover-up facts that might lend credence to the accusations against him, or attempt to quash the testimony of witnesses to his alleged wrongdoings – the way Kavanaugh did.

Not once did Obama have to huddle with the PTB in his party in order to come up with lies that explained his own words, or fabricate explanations for yearbook braggadocio that clearly meant something other than what he claimed it to mean after-the-fact – the way Kavanaugh did.

Not once did Brett Kavanaugh – despite his outrage at being “falsely accused” – agree to a polygraph test or a fulsome FBI investigation of the allegations against him. Not once did he insist on any investigation that might lead to the proof of his innocence. Not once did he object to Republicans withholding documents that would disclose his full record as a GOP operative, as opposed to cherry-picking what would and would not be made known to those voting on his suitability as a SCOTUS justice.

Not once did Kavanagh, in giving his testimony last Thursday, demonstrate the demeanor of a man capable of putting political affiliation aside in order to render decisions based on the law, and based on an unbiased interpretation of the Constitution that underpins that law.

Not once did Obama fail to meet those who challenged the legitimacy of his presidency with a calmly straightforward response based on facts.

And not once did Kavanaugh fail to meet those who challenged his entitlement to a seat on the Supreme Court with anything more than derision, dismissiveness, and outrage demonstrative of the paranoid ramblings of a bought-and-paid-for partisan who was promised that lofty position in exchange for future legal decisions that favored one political party’s agenda over another.

As I have always maintained, the truth inevitably outs itself – regardless of those who attempt to hide it, obfuscate it, or direct attention away from its enduring ability to eventually find its way into the glaring light of day.

It isn’t over. The spirit of truth-and-democracy – two concepts that once went hand-in-hand – is alive and well. The only thing that’s changed is that only one party still believes in that ideal – while the other party is determined to destroy it.

Have faith. Have determination. Have confidence in US not THEM.

Above all, hold on to your principles – because the “other side” has not once, in as long as I can remember, been able to hold onto theirs.

And in the end, that will be their undoing.

4. Gotta go with the number of eligible voters who voted for the POS-26.5%.

Meaningful yes, IMO not huge. That is why he has to pay people to attend his rallies. It is window dressing to try to legitimize his minority.
