Another ex-democrat here ready to ride the Red Wave after all this madness.
As a latino, I was raised Democrat by default and was surrounded by liberals most of my life. Obama came into office when I was in college and those around me rejoiced, so I went along.
Fast forward a few years and I moved to South Korea and disconnected from the fear inducing American media. Stayed in South Korea for 7 years and watched Trump become president from there even though I strongly supported Sanders.
I remember living in fear in Seoul as friends and family desperately warned me "Get out of there! Trump is crazy and is gonna start a war!". I was scared and considered it, but stuck it out and was blown away by the peace talks.
That was the turning point for me. Fully convinced me that media is BS, people are being pushed to think in a certain way, and most importantly it made me realize Trump is the real deal and those before him were not.
I came back to the states with my wife a few months ago and have talked face to face with real patriots to get to really know them and how they are not like the media paint them.
This Kavanaugh madness was the final blow and I have switched to Republican and am ready to do my part. Very excited for the future and thank you all for being civil and welcoming unlike the other political subs in reddit. MAGA!!!
