Text blocking devices are pieces of equipment that prevent the use of distracting cell phone functions while the vehicle is in motion. They block text messages, email, and Internet browsing, but may also include other distracting mobile applications. The devices allow for incoming and outgoing phone calls, as well as multiple hands-free options, depending on the device. They typically only affect the driver’s cell phone, allowing other passengers to use their cell phones. Emergency features such as 911 are always available.
You must make sure that the device you are using is a text blocker and not a cell phone blocker, jammer, or scrambler.
