Edison, New Jersey-headquartered blockchain ecosystem security solutions firm BlockSafe Technologies, Inc., has released the first mobile cryptocurrency wallet protection app CryptoDefender™.
According to a press release CoinReport received from Fusion, BlockSafe’s PR agency, the app proactively prevents keylogging malware from stealing digital currency wallet login credentials. Moreover, says the release, it includes an OATH compliant two-factor authentication token, a password vault, a password generator and a secure browser. CryptoDefender™ is available for both iOS and Android devices.
BlockSafe CEO George Waller said, “$9 million is stolen from crypto wallets every day. Mobile wallets are an easy target for hackers. Your tokens are more at risk than you can imagine. The release of CryptoDefender™ for mobile devices in conjunction with our recently launched CryptoDefender™ for desktops means that over 25 million wallet users now have the ability to properly secure their digital assets.”
Available for a $9.99/month subscription, the app can be installed on up to five devices. It includes many more features that function together with keystroke encryption to secure crypto wallets and digital identities: keystroke encryption impedes keylogging spyware, the secure browser stops Man-in-the-Browser attacks, the OATH compliant OTP generator allows for users to generate one-time passcodes for websites that allow two-factor authentication, the password vault encrypts and securely stores passwords and the password generator creates and stores strong passwords up to 99 characters.
Waller added, “CryptoDefender™ is the industry’s most comprehensive security solution for desktops, laptops & mobile devices.”
He further added, “Not enough attention has been paid to mobile cybersecurity despite the perpetual headlines about serious hacks. Many of us buy, sell, and move cryptocurrencies from our phones and desktops; if one device is protected while the other remains vulnerable to intrusion, they both are at risk. CryptoDefender™ is a tremendous milestone as it represents phase one in our three-part mission to secure the blockchain ecosystem.”
