Re: SaltyMutt #49796
I have voted (mostly) republican for many, many elections. I could not vote for Trump in 2016. Most registered GOPers said the same thing until that is all they had to vote for and then they showed the colors of a true politician and changed their "convictions" in a heartbeat. Some jumped on the bandwagon to ensure they had his base's support in upcoming elections. Some just outright quit instead of compromising their principles - and also couldn't be bothered fixing the mess that they helped create. Some, are walking the proverbial fence. Some just said phuck it and will do what they want and hope it doesn't hurt them.

I understand those who were "tired of the politicians & wanted something different" and supported and voted for Trump. They actually believed that he was a successful businessman. He was not. He is/was a con artist and didn't pay his bills and screwed over many, many small family owned business when he failed to pay his bills in AC.

I don't understand how anyone with a modicum of intelligence can still support him. Think about what he really is. If he was a Democrat and was exactly the same person & president, you would absolutely hate him and be looking to run him out of "the District". Look at the acts and not the actors. Just about everything he has done has been crap. That is exactly why so many world leaders laughed AT HIM when he was trying his "me; me; me" diatribe about all that he and his administration has done. Do not give him a pass because he happens to be a Republican.
