dw, I remember reading a diet called the Macrobiotic Diet many years ago. I just looked and they have chanced it. The basic thoughts back then and still hold is to eat foods grown in your climate. What was funny to me was that my house was on an old potato farm and potatoes are not allowed on the diet.
The second point I remember is that if something is good for you, eat the whole thing. Like a carrot, eat the top and I read the skin has some good things too. Pumpkins, heck they sell tons of pumpkin seeds.Onions, eat the skin. A fish, eat the whole thing, but you had better grind up the bones so they don't get stuck in your throat, lol.
