We just sold a house and I asked our realtor how much his agency spends on advertising (selection of inventory) in the local newspapers and those mountain magazines (very expensive ad costs). He said they spend 80% less than they did just 3 years ago.
He said 95% of his clients have seen the houses they are interested in online (Zillow, MLS, etc) before they even consider a showing.
