https://jmp.sh/S3jKYBS If there is an appeal, the appellate courts have an early mediation program and your case can be settled there. The mediation panel is made up of seasoned mediators and they have a good record of resolving cases for all of the reason stated for settling a case during or after trial. The barrier on appeal is that one party got a judgment, and the mediator has to break through this to get the parties to be realistic about settlement.
