A few reasons for the exhaustive testing . . . . .
A couple of big reasons I can think of for the extended time its taken for testing is;
If you don't get he US army security right, meaning perfect, it could cause DEATH to compromised soldiers and billions of dollars in theft of top secret information/technology etc
They other with PCI the ramification of failure of not getting it right the first time, is a glitch , an issue, to address it , you might have to shut down the system to fix it. 8 millions merchants wouldn't be happy, more than likely you would lose the job to a competitor. ouch
First of all it takes time to install our programs
I know it is frustrating, however Dou before they hired 600 techs took 6 months to get customers up and running afterwards it too 2-5 weeks.
The US Army has taken longer do to immensity of the contract, issues with upgrading equipment, technicians, govt security, red tape , budget, payment terms and testing to make sure it is perfect.
Even with McAfee it evidently required a lot of detail to get it done and get it done right.
Don't want to screw this job up as there is a lot more potential for business with the US government. I am ok with testing as our goal is perfection the first time.
Kay was public his testing comments, the US Government And PCI players probably feel good about the level of commitment to get this thing right. They are aware of the time commitment and why the need for testing.
They would know if Kay is lying. Big jobs require lots of time.
But now Kay is basically saying the testing is done ,and millions are coming in sept or Oct within a reasonable time frame for such a big job
AS an investor I have 2 hearts
#1 - "Greedy heart" give me the money, money money now!!!! lol
#2 - "Patient informed heart" do it right, not for the quick buck, be the best even if it takes more time over the long haul. You win bigger in the long run.
I usually am usually #2 Mr patient
However I have to admit, recently I have had more heart palpitations of #1 Mr Greedy Heart is more active lately lol but #2 heart takes over after a few moments lol
We will get there!
