The list of things I’ve become sick of hearing from gutless Republicans is a lengthy one. But just to name a few …

“The ‘pResident’ is unhappy with how Jeff Sessions is doing his job.”

No. Trump is furious with the fact that Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation when he’d fully counted on him to protect him personally from any such probe. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop pretending there is anything else going on here.

”The ‘pResident’ nominated Kavanaugh because he believes him to be the most qualified person for a seat on the Supreme Court.”

No. Trump nominated Kavanaugh based on the judge’s position that a sitting president is above the law, and should not be subjected to any investigations, nor subject to any queries about his actions. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop trying to spin the bleedin’ obvious into some ridiculous notion that Trump had anything else in mind when he nominated him.

”The ‘pResident’ misspoke, was mistaken, got his numbers wrong,” et cetera.

No. Trump is a liar – and has been proven to be a liar on a regular basis. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop trying to excuse the constant stream of self-serving lies that spew from Trump’s mouth on a daily basis.

”The fact that Mueller has brought indictments and obtained guilty pleas from people like Flynn, Manafort, Cohen, et cetera, is proof that he’s found no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia.”

No. The fact is that Mueller has been gathering evidence for over a year, and has yet to conclude his investigation and issue a final report on his findings. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop insisting that people who have been indicted for things like tax fraud and lying to the FBI somehow exonerates Trump from any wrongdoing.

”The ‘pResident’ is determined to put America first, and bring overseas jobs back to the United States.”

No. Trump continues to have all of his branded merchandise, and all of the furnishings for his hotels and golf resorts, manufactured in low-wage countries. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop promoting the false narrative that Trump is interested in the jobs of American workers.

”The ‘pResident’ is not a racist.”

No. Trump has called white supremacists and KKK members “very fine people”, has described non-white nations as “shithole countries”, and stated that citizens of African countries “live in huts”. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop trying to walk-back Trump’s own obviously racist statements.

”The ‘pResident’ is intelligent, well-informed, and understands the responsibilities of his office.”

No. Trump has demonstrated his ignorance – more to the point, his stupidity – on a daily basis. His daily briefings have had to be dumbed-down so that he can (hopefully) understand them, his actions and statements consistently display his inability to grasp the duties of a POTUS, and his tweets are frequently full of incomprehensible “covfefe”. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop acting as though an obvious idiot knows what he’s talking about.

”The ‘pResident’ has accomplished more for the country in eighteen months than any other POTUS.”

No. What Trump has accomplished is not to the benefit of the country – it is only to the benefit of the wealthiest individuals and corporations. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and cease and desist with the bullshit that Trump has done anything for the hard-working middle-class, other than throw them under the bus in order to hand tax-breaks to his wealthy donors and friends.

”The ‘pResident’ is making America great again!”

No. Trump has engaged in a trade war – which he himself stated is a “war” easily won. His tariffs are destroying American businesses, and are raising prices on goods that American consumers have to pay. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop pushing the narrative that paying higher prices is somehow good for Americans.

The ‘pResident’ is respected the world over.”

No. Trump has been met with protestors in every country he has visited, or has attempted to visit. Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop trying to convince the citizenry that the lying asshole you elected is welcome anywhere on the planet other than among the ass-kissing sycophants he has surrounded himself with.

The ‘pResident’ has chosen ‘the best people’ to fill important positions.”

No. Many of Trump’s “best people” have been indicted, are under investigation, or have resigned under a cloud of accusations that they abused the power of their positions and/or committed crimes.

Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and spare us all the utterly ridiculous rhetoric that Trump knows what the fuck he was doing when he chose “the best people”, other than choosing those he thought would do his bidding without question.

”Everyone thinks the ‘pResident’ is doing a great job.”

No. Polls show that the only people who believe that are his die-hard base – a base that also believes in “deep-state conspiracies”, a base that relies on Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh to give them “the facts”, a base that thinks God himself anointed a self-proclaimed pussy-grabber to govern a nation – a base that is shrinking on a daily basis.

Everyone knows that – so just SAY it, and stop pretending that those poll numbers are somehow suspect simply because they don’t reflect the bullshit you’ve been regurgitating like stomach-churning vomit.

JUST SAY IT! Just admit that your “pResident” is a Russian-colluding traitor who has never done anything that doesn’t serve his own self interests, who hasn’t done everything in his power to cover-up his own crimes, who hasn’t appointed the most corrupt people to positions of power, who hasn’t obstructed justice at every turn, who hasn’t spent the majority of his “pResidency” defending himself against legitimate accusations of corruption, personal greed – and acts of treason against the nation, and the Constitution he swore to preserve and protect.

If you did so, we could at least say that you’re honest – instead of pointing out how willing you are to protect the lying traitor you elected to the highest position in the land.
