here is the value of evidence....spend lots of time reviewing cardiac scans with patients/cardiologists as a part of cardiac rehab/wellness initiative...EBCT scans dont lie..you see your calcium deposits in your arteries and it is convincing damn evidence you have an issue....not different than looking at the images of B's effect on a patients diseased colon.....hard to fake and hard to get around..that,(among other things) gives me confidence.
Lots of stuff can go wrong on the management side and thats a risk...but there is solid evidence B works and is worth serious $$$$$
