No, 'open borders' has been misconstrued by dishonest righties from it's original economic/trade connotation.
I want Comprehensive Immigration Reform as passed by the U.S. Senate under Obama.....WITH sufficient GOP votes.....and then not put on the floor in the House.
Among other things it required of illegals the payment of past taxes and fines, a requirement to learn English, and then go to the back of the line to secure..........a green card.
It all also expanded E-verify requirements for employers, funded more border guards and fencing.
It also made it easier for college grads to say after visas expired so that we could take advantage of their skills.
It was rational and comprehensive.
