Two different networks, T-Mobile probably has service in that area. When you get out of cell service for your carrier it cuts off unless if those carriers work together like T-Mobile & AT&T.
For this United Wireless, and their network, you can only get it if you live in that local area. So to buy the United Wireless carriers plan, you would have to live there. Yes, their phones will work beyond that area on their nationwide plan. And that is because they contract out to either Verizon or AT&T’s cell towers. The United Wireless network wouldn’t do any good. Nobody is going to southwest KS to buy that United Wireless plan. So saying that they work on that network is only fluff to make it appear that they are locking down network carriers.
Congrats, the Utopya phone will work if you put a Verizon or AT&T SIM card in it. Just like every other phone out there.
