Starting with his daughter the remarks were spot on. THAT's why she garnered applause.
The 'elephant in the room' was on the golf course because McCain and his family didn't want a no class insult comic anywhere near the casket.
It's the height of moral imbecility to argue that calling out the fascist clown on the golf course for exactly what he is, a 'hate festival.
