LISLE, Ill, Aug. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) has introduced a new Strategic Manager on its Board of Managers with the addition of Alon Chaver. Chaver is the Chief Information Officer at HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate.
MRED created the position of Strategic Manager to be filled by up to two individuals at the discretion of and election by MRED’s Board members. Strategic Managers are welcomed onto the Board because of their expertise and participate on an advisory basis. Their input is invited to enhance the ability of MRED’s leadership to make the best decisions and serve their real estate professionals in the most effective manner. Chaver is joining California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS) CEO Art Carter as an MRED Strategic Manager.
Chaver is responsible for HomeServices’ information management as well as its technology, data analytics, and consumer experience. He previously worked on Trulia’s executive management team as the Vice President of Industry Service. His responsibilities in this role included preserving data quality, championing product development for brokerages and multiple listing services (MLSs), and fostering partnerships with the real estate industry. Chaver was the co-founder of iHomefinder, an online real estate pioneer providing software solutions and data services to agents, brokerages, and MLSs. He also currently sits on the Board of Managers for the Broker Public Portal (BPP) in addition to serving as a Director on the Board of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO).
Chaver was confirmed in his new role at the MRED Board of Managers’ August meeting, a time in which several members praised his experience, character, and the value he brings to the Board.
“Alon has fully earned his impeccable reputation in real estate and we’re beyond excited to have him join our Board,” said MRED President/CEO Rebecca Jensen. “When you’re looking for a Strategic Manager, you’re looking for someone with extensive experience who can think outside the box. Alon totally fits that description.”
“It’s an honor to team up with an industry pioneer like MRED and be a part of the big things that are on the way,” Chaver said. “I’m looking forward to using my expertise to help inform the important decisions the Board will be making moving forward.”
