Dear Senator, As a retired USAF Intelligence officer I became concerned enough over what National Security Advisor John Bolton said on Sunday 8/21/18 to write to every US Senator. He stated that “Four countries: Russia, China, North Korea and Iran may try to interfere in November’s elections.” You’ll recall the conclusion of the joint 17 intelligence agencies’ report on Russia’s hacking of our last election. The twelve active duty Russian military intelligence (GRU) officers indicted by our DOJ used key loggers to do so. A key logger is a zero-day, or man-in-the-middle, attack not stopped by anti-virus software. Multi-Factor-Authorization/Out-Of-Band-Authentication (MFA/OOBA) is required to do so. We all need up to date anti-virus software. Now, we also need MFA/OOBA defensive software to prevent key logging and other elusive threats or polymorphic malware. To understand this better, please go to You Tube and watch an anti-keylogging video. As you are aware, the DOD, US intelligence community and USCG worldwide is now installing McAfee security software to counter this cyber warfare threat. Please be aware; I am not a McAfee employee or shareholder. What I am is someone who took the same oath of office as you: “To protect and defend the Constitution of the US against all enemies foreign and domestic.” These four foreign powers now threaten the keystone of our Republic: our free and fair elections.
Consequently, I am soliciting your support of the Securing America’s Voting Equipment (SAVE) Act, Bill # 2035. Please ensure that the final draft includes wording about the necessity of MFA/OOBA defensive software. This bill was introduced by my state’s Senator, Susan Collins of ME and Senator Martin Heinrich of NM in October. It was read twice. August 10th it was bottled back up in the Rules and Administration Committee. Please help Senator Collins get it out of committee, voted on and funded in time to protect November’s elections from any foreign interference. I don’t want Vladimir Putin voting for me! If I can be of any further assistance in helping protect the vote please don’t hesitate to contact me. (Personal contact info withheld)
Still Your Officer,
Major 4SD USAF Retired
This follow-up letter to my previous 100 phone calls to the Senators' DC offices was mailed out today with sadly one exception. My letter to an American hero, the late Senator John McCain was retained.

Overview of May's US Inflation Report
May saw no change in the monthly US inflation rate, mostly because small increases in service costs were more than offset by a large decline in goods prices. The Commerce Department's report showed the slowest rate of underlying price increases in six months, along with a little increase in consumer spending. With an eye toward a controlled economic slowdown without sparking a recession or high unemployment, this data has increased hope that the F... Continue Reading
