I’m not sure who first mentioned it? I just chased the rabbit whole and it lines up.
Mediatek also has a venture program to assist companies in scaling their business. It obvious to me that Mediatek owns the rights to the hardware and design.
They can adjust a few specs for different phones and slap different company names on the phone.
Done deal... they do all the manufacturing, Utopya does some software adds/mods.
Boom, you have a phone.
