The poster presentations describe the plasma membrane reductase responsible for the activation of tarloxotinib exclusively in hypoxic environments. This unique characteristic increases the specificity of tarloxotinib for cancer cells, making it an ideal candidate for the treatment of EGFR Exon 20 mutation-driven non-small cell lung cancer.

The Translational Therapeutics Team is a oncology research group lead by Associate Professors Adam Patterson and Jeff Smaill that specialize in all aspects of the design and development of hypoxia activated prodrugs.
