52 U.S. Officers Completed Training for Crowd Control Management With Use of Latest Lamperd Products
SARNIA, Ontario, Aug. 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. (OTC PINK: LLLI), an innovation leader and manufacturer of advanced security solutions for law enforcement, military and security agencies worldwide, reports that the company's VP of Training, Ed Bogats, Jr., PhD, has conducted a six week series of training programs where he delivered both less lethal and riot control crowd management training for 52 area instructors in western Pennsylvania. The class was sponsored by the Clairton PD (Matt McDanel) and the Glassport PD (Chief Cliff LaFever) due to a growing need to respond to increased demonstrations in the Pittsburgh, PA area relating to high tension social issues of specific protesters. The program was set up to train individual police agency instructors to go back to their respective agencies and plan for/prepare/train and respond to public demonstrations to maintain order in their communities. New orders for Lamperd products have already begun to be placed as a result of this training effort.
Throughout the training courses Lamperd specialty equipment was used exclusively. Our interlocking Riot Shields were a large part of the training accompanied by the 37mm Less Lethal Launcher and a variety of less lethal munitions varying from the 12 Gage to the 37mm to the OC Pepper Blast. Due to the progressiveness of the Allegheny County Sheriff, Superintendent of the Allegheny County Police Department and the following Township and Borough Chiefs of Police, we were able to share proper training and the latest in less lethal solutions to provide them with the best possible options for reducing liability and injury potential to officers and protesters while assuring that constitutional rights are preserved with law and order.
The Lamperd team wishes to acknowledge and congratulate instructors from the following agencies in western PA for their dedication and accomplishments during the recent instructor certification programs. Among the officers who have completed training are the following:
