SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kadima.Ventures , a transformative collaboration of companies that offers resources to early-stage startups and legacy companies to evolve ideas into advanced technologies, is returning as a sponsor of the Fiesta Bowl organization, which features a year-long events calendar highlighted by the 2019 PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl and the 2018 Cheez-It® Bowl.
The partnership will kick off with the Kadima.Ventures Fiesta Bowl Kickoff Luncheon , which welcomes legendary former Oklahoma head football coach, Bob Stoops, as its keynote speaker. The Kickoff Luncheon will take place this morning at the Arizona Biltmore with registration opening at 11:00 a.m. and lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds from the Luncheon will go to the Cheez-It® Bowl Send-a-Vet/Send-a-Kid/Send-a-Teacher programs, which honor veterans and active military personnel, underserved children in the community and Arizona’s finest educators. Additionally, Kadima is showing its continued support to Arizona students, recognizing the importance that education plays in fostering innovation, as presenting partner of the Honeywell Fiesta Bowl Aerospace Challenge . The annual event features more than 1,500 students in grades 5-8 participating in a four-day STEM competition [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics]. This year’s event challenges students to develop plans for an International Lunar Base, complete with a physical scale model. The top six teams will advance to the final competition, and the winning team will receive the grand prize of a VIP trip to Space Camp, and on-field recognition of their award at the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona in January.
