Trump can fire Mueller anytime he wants. First he fires Rosenstein and then Solicitor General , Noel Franscisco (Bush appointee) takes over. Noel is no friend of Comey's! The son of a Filipino immigrant father, Francisco was raised in Oswego, New York, got a bachelor‘s and law degree from the University of Chicago and then clerked for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Rachael Brand would have replaced RR but she resigned last Jan. so that spot is vacant.

Mueller's appointment is illegal anyhow. He was never approved by Congress.

As far as "obstructing justice" FIRST YOU HAVE TO HAVE JUSTICE! ROSENSTEIN SIGNED THE 4TH FISA APPLICATION KNOWING THE STEELE DOSSIER WAS A FRAUD.

Rosenstein drafted a private three-page memo to the president criticizing former FBI Director James Comey over his handling of an investigation into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's email server.

Congress has already started impeachment papers against Rosenstein for refusing and hiding documents that they have asked for and then demanded. They halted the process when RR produced some documents and promised more.

From what has been exposed, we know why the FBI and DOJ want those documents to remain hidden or redacted upon release.

Judicial Watch is suing for Brennan's communications with Sen. Harry Reid.

In August 2016, just two days after Brennan briefed Senator Harry Reid and other members on Russian interference in the election, the Nevada senator wrote a letter to then-FBI director James Comey, calling the FBI to investigate Trump’s campaign.

In June Judicial Watch, filed a FOIA lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after the CIA failed to respond to their February 2018 FOIA request, which sought:

“All records of communications, including but not limited to letters, emails, text messages, and instant chats, between former CIA Director John Brennan and/or officials in the CIA Director’s Office on the one hand, and Senator Harry Reid and/or members of Senator Reid’s staff on the other hand, regarding, concerning or relating to the Christopher Steele “dossier” and/or alleged “collusion” between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.
Copies of any reports, memoranda or other materials provided to Senator Reid and/or members of his staff by the CIA relating to alleged Russian “collusion” or cooperation between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.
All materials, including briefing reports and memos, audio/video presentations, PowerPoint presentations and any other records, used by CIA Director Brennan and/or other CIA officials to brief Senator Reid and/or members of his staff on alleged “collusion” between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.
All notes, minutes, transcripts, and audio and/or visual recordings made of any and all briefings provided by the CIA to Senator Reid and/or members of his staff regarding alleged “collusion” between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.”

On Thursday, Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton tweeted about their lawsuit for documents relating to Brennan’s leak to Reid, and said pulling Brennan’s security clearance was “the right call.”

New Documents Show OBAMA Officials, FBI COORDINATED in Anti-Trump Probe

The documents also reveal that former Senate majority leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, sent a letter on Aug. 29, 2016, asking former FBI Director James Comey to investigate the allegations, which were presented to him by then CIA Director John Brennan. Brennan had briefed Reid privately days earlier on the counterintelligence investigation and documents suggest Reid was also staying in close touch with Comey over the issues.

The documents, which include text messages from embattled FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page, also reveal that former Obama White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough was involved in the initial investigation into Trump’s campaign. Comey, Brennan, and McDonough were the “highest-ranking officials at the FBI, CIA and White House” and were working in concert to ensure an investigation was initiated, congressional members told this reporter.

They also revealed that John Moffa was also the FBI agent who helped draft Comey’s July 5, 2016 exoneration letter to Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

“A chain of events suggest the FBI encouraged Reid to write this letter to legitimize its surveillance of Carter Page

In the letter from Reid to Comey, Reid cites information Brennan shared with him that Trump advisor, referencing Carter Page, and other “high ranking sanctioned individuals” in Moscow were meeting. Reid asks Comey to launch an investigation by the FBI into the Trump Campaign and the Kremlin.

New Text Msgs Reveal FBI Agent, Strzok, was Friends with Judge in Flynn Case

Shortly after Reid’s letter was revealed in a New York Times article on August 30, 2016, Strzok texts Page saying, “here we go.” He included a link to the story in the text message.

Congressional investigators suggest that the pair were creating inferences “that they knew it would create public calls for an investigation into Russian interference.”

Sept. 23, 2016, Isikoff article, which cites Reid’s letter, is also another example of possible coordination, congressional investigators state. The FBI used the Yahoo news article as part of the evidence in their application to obtain a FISA warrant on Carter Page.

“This sequence of events strongly suggests the FBI encouraged Reid to write this letter to legitimize its surveillance of Carter Page,” congressional investigators stated.
