Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Aug. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NFL Alumni announced today that the organization’s 2018 “Youth of America Week” will take place from August 19-26 at locations across the country.

Youth of America Week is a collaborative effort by NFL Alumni chapters to participate in youth-related community service activities. It began in 1983 when NFL alumnus and Congressman Jack Kemp introduced a resolution that was signed by-then President Ronald Reagan.

“Youth of America Week is one of NFL Alumni’s most storied traditions,” says NFL Alumni CEO Elvis Gooden. “Connecting retired NFL players with youth programs throughout the country provides moments to our children that last a lifetime. It’s why Youth of America week has been such a success for 35 years.”

NFL Alumni chapters will host a widespread of events during Youth of America Week including video game tournaments, football camps, school supply drives, youth tailgate events and more.
