Copy of a post I just made on another site:
To all posters in general who are greatly disappointed in the company and management in particular, some basic questions regarding who to blame for your disappointment:
1) Have you ever known of a company in biotech, where the odds of any drug reaching commerciality are extremely poor, having a rise in share price prior to generation of revenues or at a point of development where odds of commerciality are greatly increased due to clinical trials progress?
Sure, a couple of companies sign nice partnership deals early in development but they are few and far between and normally they give up the ship for possible future large returns to get said partnerships.
2) Then at what stage in the trials did you expect to see a nice return on your investment in IPIX?
I would say anything prior to end of phase 2 is out of the question.
3) Did mgt not let you know years ago that their plan was to partner out their indications only after all had passed Phase 2 trials so that they could maximize stockholder return as they thought the drugs in the pipeline each had massive potential and they didn't want to sell that for pennies on the dollar prior to proving their full value?
Now when will we have knowledge as to all Phase 2 results? Oh yeah, it is in 7 weeks or less.
4) Will all shareholders acknowledge that the stock has been under the shorts microscope since way prior to the Mako article and the Mako article was the attempt to drive the share price to a level that would bankrupt the company and has hampered their ability to raise monies at a rate they could have attained except for the gross attack, lies, and deception put out by the Seeking Alpha article and which also laid bare company coffers to fight said article in court?
5) Did not the inventor of Prurisol and Kevetrin pay out of his own pocket to Aruda shares because they made an administrative error at the beginning of the company that would have made clear Aruda had no right to claiming developmental rights? Did he not also cut his salary in half seeing that he no longer had massive lab duties and thus thought it unfair he keep receiving the larger salary than he though he was now due? Has the CEO, who has lent his own money to IPIX to keep it going, shown any signs of outrageous spending habits and an out-of-control lifestyle as intimated by some posts on this board?
6) Do not all stockholders know that IPIX, and thus mgt, is currently in a quiet period by law due to the ongoing negotiations with BP CDA partners and thus Leo has no option as to whether he can release any word whatsoever that would put such negotiations at risk?
I think the above questions make my point that it is not mgt who is at fault for how the company has progressed over the last few years and that those doing all the complaining either invested in a sector (biotech) that is far beyond their investing level as to being able to do proper DD and know about the myriad obstacles confronting the company to reach a stage where revenues start rolling in.
We are now 7 weeks at most from a date when we should start hearing some of the actual developments that have been going on backstage regarding IPIX and if they are going as one would hope we will start to soon see a rise in share price, perhaps a very nice rise in share price.
If you are still POd at this investment, just look in the mirror and acknowledge you are the cause for investing here and don't try to make IPIX mgt the scapegoat.
