$SFOR Awesome/OMG- Cisco advisory Board member(S) is following Kay & Crew for quite sometime ( On Twitter few days back ). If I have to speculate , they all are following very closely the IPR battle that Ring Leader DUO filed along with Centrify & Trustwave.
When DUO lost it's IPR battle https://jmp.sh/yWiPTv0 to SFOR/ROPES & GRAY along with Centrify & Trustwave, CISCO & DUO negotiation took a new turn in their negotiation to wrap up the deal ( $2.35B is not a chump change for co making $48m/year in revenue on Infringed IP )
If ANYONE thinks that DUO/CISCO deal is dependent on SA, then they are WRONG. Trustwave settled after Alice and it was SFOR that asked the court to put DUO on hold, along with Centrify/VASCO and not the other way round.
CISCO closing in NOV or before, gives me vibe that DUO/SFOR has reached a complex settlement and $2.35B will have SFOR piece built in. CISCO will never ever set a timeline for NOV closing until they have sorted out all the DUO mess.
Same with CENTRIFY/Thoma Bravo $2.35B++++ deal closing in Fall means Centrify has reached a settlement. Note that Thoma Bravo has invested in McAfee with TPG Capital, so they know the lawsuits & SFOR IP.
If SFOR get $50m in Damages ( Which is a chump change ) & I think It will get that dollar just from DUO ++++++ more ++ damages from CENTRIFY, it will be valued at well over $2.35B & in a flash we will be in Dollar Land.
