The Lt. was someone I had admired dearly. I spoke with him several times and he gave me the impression that his moral values were very similar to mine. Family is my most important possession along with my love of GOD and mutual respect and concern for others. Money, although all important in this world, never took a high position of importance to me as my needs and desires have always been very simple. I invested heavily in Baltia with the hopes of securing my financial future and that of my children and grandchildren.
The ‘lt.’, John, impressed me immensely for his service to our country, his great success in business and his love of GOD, family, and friends. He once told me that if he lost everything he had invested in Baltia it would have absolutely no impact in his life. With his frequent words of encouragement about Baltia becoming a real airline I jumped in beyond my means and invested my entire profit from a winning investment in American Airlines into Baltia.
For these reasons the recent accusations of the Lt.’s illegal activities have been a very hurtful event in my life. If these accusations are proven to be true I will realize that I made a very serious error in judging his character. It is also amazing that a man of such proposed wealth would have to ask for money to pay legal fees. It makes me wonder if anything he told me was true. For that reason, I lashed out with words I should have reserved for a time only if, and when, he is proven guilty by his accusers. For that reason, I am making this public apology to John and hope that he is truly innocent of all charges.
